Default Changing TCC with LS1-Edit

Has anyone used the LS1-Edit to make changes on the A4 settings for the TCC? So far everyone I have talked to acts as if this is a mystery as to how it works. The LS1-edit instruction book doesn't seem to say much about it either.

We're not ignoring you... I guess no one is confident enough to say yet.

When I look at the parameters, it appears for the different modes (normal, performance and cruise) that you adjust the speed at which the Converter locks up in each gear at a particular throttle angle (in 0 to 100 %).

That's similar to how you adjust shift speed.
I'm just not ready to play with that until I can see how that would give me gains on a dyno or at the track.

I hope that helps some...

Thanks for a reply. I was wondering about first gear since that is not even addressed in the table to make the changes. Maybe I better check with Carputing.

It would be crazy to lock up the converter in 1st gear. I wouldn't bother with 2nd gear either, and apparently GM thinks so, too, since they raise the lock-up points to MPH infinity (255 MPH). <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

I'd only bother playing around with 3rd gear for racing purposes and 4th gear for cruise convenience.
