how to tell if used hpp3 still has pgm??? I got a used hpp3. I turn it on it runs a boot/self test and says waiting to communicate with your vehicle. Is this unit useable since I bought it used?? Can I tellif the program is still "on" the old vehicle? Any input is a big help.

Re: how to tell if used hpp3 still has pgm??? If it is useable, the guy that bought it would have done a "Return Vehicle to Stock" function before he gave it to you.
When it communicates with the vehicle, it will detect if the programmer is free to be used or not.
