WTF are these "Locks" people are talking about???

Anyone? I'm a little lost here. How's a PCM get locked. What's the deal?? <img src="images/icons/confused.gif" border="0">

Generically it referrs to some methodology or technique used by various tuners to prevent the pcm from being edited by ls1 edit (and possibly hypertech).

Ahh, ok! I thought it was something that the dealers were using to keep us from tuning the PCM...

They are trying to keep people from seeing what they did.

They locked us out so we could not see what they did NOT do but should have.
