I am having problems with my car retarding the timing about 3-4 degrees only under full throttle. I am running the diablo tune. Called diablo and they told me that .5- 1 was the max acceptable limits for retard with their tune. What is wrong with my car. I think i am running good 93 gas. Is my prob the gas the knock sensors, the plugs or some other prob? I am running the ngk tr65 plugs. I think it is the 65's. either way they are not the nitrous plugs. Please give me some help. Thanks everyone.

Watch the KR more closely and see if it's there as
soon as you mash the throttle, or if it shows up
during a WOT pull. If it hits & slowly bleeds down
from the time you open the throttle that's probably
just tuning, unfortunately things you can't see or
touch with the Predator. If it pops up always about
a particular RPM, that's a characteristic of false
knock. Could be engine mechanical noise, over-
sensitive knock sensors, exhaust buzzing or could
be some over-advanced / under-fueled condition.
Dial your spark advance all the way negative and
try it again, if it still gives you the same KR then
it's probably false.

Thank you, I have a friend that has hp tuners. We saw this prob last night on HP tuners. I will have to get the computer back on the car to see when it is retarding the timing. I know that it will not retard timing if I rev the car to wot in park, however when we go down the road and hit wot it will retard timing usually 3 or 4 degrees.
