Default MAFT and idle question

Will an MAFT help me if I am trying to eliminate my idle problems?

I believe I am running very rich at idle since I am surging quite a bit (I read a post that said surging = rich) . I already have my idle raised with MTI custom tuning. It is set for 950 in park and 850 in drive.

Would adjusting the base setting improve my idle quality?

My Ltrims are around 3.02% without a MAFT.

That number seems good to me. But idle is still for crap.

MAFT is not going to help your idle the way you need it. Call MTI, it's a tuning issue with your custom tuning. You have a '01 as well and I have read on here that '01 + years have some issues with tuning that aren't worked out yet.

The L-term looks to high for Idle.Should be in the -'s.
Sometimes drilling the TB help's.
Can't give anymore suggestions without seeing your sig.
