What did you do to correct it? I get it several times a week even after cranking several turns on the gas cap. I am assuming it's a faulty gas cap , but hate to take it to the dealership for that. I have a connection with a dealer, but it's just a hassle taking it in.Thanks.

PO480 = Cooling Fan Relay 1 Control Circuit???
Unless the codes changed from 2000 - 2001????

You are right..kinda. The Atap shows PO480-fuel tank pressure sensor circuit, but the Atap manual shows Fan relay like you said. I don't know if this is an error or if they did change the codes. I kind of doubt they would do that. I also didn't think they would quit building F-bodies in 2002. I'll post again when I find out. Thanks.

That's weird. I get the 480 code occasionally by flipping my manual fan switch on at the wrong time.
Anyway, the Helms lists the 480 code as the fan circuit.
I use the DOS ATAP, if it makes any difference?

Yeah it is weird. I used to get the PO480 last year when I tried hooking up my manual fan switch, but I didn't have the Atap at the time so it was a real pain having to borrow a scanner so I gave up. The wires are still in place so I'll try it again soon after I figure this one out.Just for grins , I'm going to use the Dos version to scan the trouble codes next time to see what it shows. I might even intentionally hook up the fan switch again for a code. It gave me the right description for PO480 last time. Can you use your windows version the next time you throw the fan code? Something is fishy here. Are the 01/02s more sensitive to the manual fan switch? That thing kicked my butt last year. I researched thoroughly and used the small green wire to fan relay #1. I'll keep ya'll posted.Thanks.

My old laptop is a 486SX. It's not quite up for running Windows anything.
I've never had the code cause the MIL to come on,not sure under what conditions the code sets but is probably when I have the fans running and restart the car,may also happen under other conditions. I've had both 480 & 481 codes. Interestingly, these are the only codes my car has ever pulled that I've seen except when I've left the MAF and IAT unplugged.
My switch is wired for both hi/low fans and I'm tapped into the wiring harness that goes to the pcm on the pass fenderwell.(blue and green wires to fan relays)
