Will custom tuning give me any more power? I did a cam and header swap on my 2000 SS and the car is hardly any faster. I have a maft ranslter and hyppertech but no scanner. I ran it in stock mode for a week or 2 then I have switched it to 6% nd 6% lean. Just because that seems to be what some are using. The car runs fine (other than burning a lot of oil) and no check engine light is on. I am running off-road pipes and all the bolt ons. I just dont seem to be anyfaster at all and maybe slower.

Re: Will custom tuning give me any more power? You really need to scan it with something. You are probably running real rich and that is why your SOTP meter isnt registering any more power. Is you gas mileage sorry?

Re: Will custom tuning give me any more power? Gas mileage sucks big time and it smokes a lot when punching it. But I have the translater set at 6% lean. I dont know anyone with a scanner around here.
