SuperChips MicroTuner??????? Hey guys,
I got the new MicroTuner today.
I only want to adjust the shift rpm & firmness.
The damn thing only wants to load the Superchips
program, like the customization is not available?
I am pissed for $430......
What's up???
I will call them tomorrow, but wondered if anyone
knew if I am doing something wrong????

I pulled my SuperChips custom tune with LS1Edit and noticed that at 80%+ my 3 and 4 apply were set to 105!!! I didn't ask for TCC lockup at 105. In fact I didn't ask for WOT TCC lockup period. Does your program do this too?

On my Microtuner, I can't change anything except thermostat temp.
I thought they would at LEAST give you the ability to vary tire size, rearend ratio, shift points and rev limiter beyond THEIR hard tune.

That's why I was glad for LS1-Edit.

Re: SuperChips MicroTuner??????? I'm going to do a read of the 98 with the Superchips this weekend and see. The weird thing is I had a Yank 3000 in the car before (same programming) and it would lock up.

Re: SuperChips MicroTuner??????? I have their program in my 98 C5 and it works pretty well, the shifts are really firm. I had them program it for a Yank 3000 converter and now that I'm putting that car back to stock (with a stock converter) it only shifts at about 5500rpm vs 5800rpm with the Yank. Maybe they compensated for the extra slippage.
With stock transmissions and stall converters the 98 with the Superchips shifts a lot quicker and harder than my 99 with LS1edit tuning. I'm going to investigate further. Also I do not get any noticeable pinging with the Superchips program either.

Re: SuperChips MicroTuner??????? Mine's an anchor as well. Saving for LS1Edit. I never atapped it in fairness though. I have one ordered in October 2000, and it has 0 options. I did put the programming back on this month ; had never tried it with the headers. Runs pretty good but it's cold out, my clutch is shot and I can't get on it too much. I figure why waste $150 getting it reprogrammed ( I'm sure they've made many changes since Oct. 2000 ) since LS1Edit is available now. Anyone ever have the programmer with an M6? y2kz28, what did it do for your car?
