Custom tuning is about the only way. My SS shifted at 5,400 on the 1-2 shift when it was stock, too. The only other way to do it would be with a tranny tricker. I know that Yank used to make them, but I don't know if they still do. It gives you full control of the shifts with the push of a button. I used it quite a bit on my '98 T/A, and it was great! Default A4 won't shift above 5400 in first????

Guy,

I am freakin' out, I am so pissed.

HyperTech is draggin' their @sses getting the
2002 HPP3 out, if at all?????and the POS Superchips
Tuner won't let you adjust ****, so it's a waste.

How can I get my car to shift higher from first
without sending the computer to a tuner and
voiding my warranty???? Can a chevy dealer go into
my computer and raise the shift point????

The car runs 13.03@106 with a 1.95 60ft.

Shifting correctly I know it would run 12s box stock.

any suggestions????

thanks.... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

you could fix that easily with edit; I just don't know when it will be released.

BTW, our tachs often read low in first gear. The 5400 could easily be 5800. I'd still want to shift at 6200; it just may not be as bad as it looks.

Glad I could help out! FWIW, my tach on my SS is pretty accurate. Now the one on my '98 was a completely different story! It was 200 RPM off all of the time!
