Default Odd observation.. see inside.

I have a GWP 3.4" P1SC. The programming is for an all stock car, however I have Grots, cutout and a pair of 3" Y pipes, with and without cats.

I pick up 4 MPG when I use the pipe with cats... and I don't even have the rear 02 sensors in! The simms are still in place. The car is happier down low with the cats, taking off from lights and all (I know... with a 6130 RAM setup is difficult to take off smoothly).

What aspects of programming would make this happen?

Thanks for the non replies you homos.

Hopefully this will help someone out later. I bought Charles Probst's book about corvette injecction.

The air/fuel and timing tables are specifically designed to work with the back pressure the stock cats provide.

Now how about some friggin tech out of you know it alls? What exactly should be changed when removing cats?

GWP = Golden West Performance.
P1SC = P1 Supercharger

My suggestion is ATAP the car with and w/o cat Y-Pipe and compare the data. my guess is that you are running rich w/o the cats.

Its pretty easy to blow up a S/C car with bad tuning (been there and done that ); so some of us are slow to offer S/C tuning advice.

You can't change part throttle fueling when in closed loop, so dont' worry about it.

Get your l-trims in line - slightly negative, then experiment with extra timing around the load cells you see when cruising (you might even end up taking some out).

I thought at WOT the ECM is in open loop mode? STFT go to 0 and LTFT is utilized?

What we need is a programming FAQ.

BTW, thanks for everyone's words. Feels much better not to be ignored.

And yes, I now see why forced induction cars are sensitive. Nothing we can't handle though, we'll get her up and right. And now back to the tech.
