Newby PCM reprogram/replacement question
I have a question regarding reprogram/replacement of my PCM. No dealer near my house will discuss this with me.
See my previous post for some background information on my problem.
I found a replacement PCM at a local dealer but after calling 3 dealerships, no one can tell me what I will need to do in order to correct the problem. They all want me to have my car towed there and begin paying hourly for a diagnosis.
My questions are...
Can they reprogram my existing PCM?
Can I just buy a new one, plug it in and go?
Will I have to buy a new PCM and have the car towed for a reprogram?
I would sincerly appreciate some help as this is my daily driver.

Re: Newby PCM reprogram/replacement question
Any correct-year PCM can be reflashed at the dealer. Kicker is that the PCM has to be in a car at that time.
Now I heard that KenK from www.carputing.com can reflash PCMs too maybe you should check with him.
Mine had be reflashed for a similar reason and the cost was over $50 through a local hookup.
