Where is Knock Retard in Autotap?
Re: Where is Knock Retard in Autotap? yeah.... It seems that the way it works is that the computer figures out (based on the VIN) what parameters make sense for the vehicle.
Looks like in my case, the knock retard wasnt one of them. There may be two ways...it either sniffed the PCM for VIN and related info, or it asked for the VIN adn knew from that somehow. I dont recall putting the VIN in, so I guess it probed it. Ill call Autotap tech help and see if they can help get me my knock retard parameter.

As for the vin when I first start up autotap it says "checking for vin" maybe there's a problem with your pcm? I think contacting autotap will be your best bet

Where is Knock Retard in Autotap? I cannot, for the life of me, find knock retard in my Autotap. I had version 2.05, couldnt find it anywhere, so I downloaded 2.10. Now I have even fewer things that I can monitor. Misfire monitoring feilds are all gone. :-/
