Default My A/F Ratio is 11.5 - 11.6 how do I

lean out the mixture? I already have a lid but do I get a ported MAF? MAF Translator? What A/F should I be running 12.8-13.0? Also what kind of power gains can I reasonably expect when leaning out the A/F ratio to where it should be?

Car is stock 2001 right now except the lid. Thanks guys. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

All our LS1's run rich from the factory.

With my set-up, I'm running 11.4:1 at WOT <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
To answer one of your earlier questions, a guy with a similar set-up to mine and 11.6:1 tuned his car to 13:1 and got an extra 20 rwhp <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

If you are obtaining these numbers from the calculated value in autotap I would take them with a grain of salt - and not base any tuning off of them to any great extent.

You can use a MAF-T or LS1 Edit to tune your a/f ratio at WOT. LS1 Edit for your model year is not available yet, but should be soon.

Your target A/F ratio will really be specific to your situation - get it on a dyno with a wideband, the finish off at the track. With a maf-t you will be limited to trying different WOT settings (you should previously ensure are your l-trims are negative using the base setting). I would not go any leaner than 13.2:1 on a dynojet - as this will be probably closer to 13.5:1 or so under full load.

With ls1 edit should for around 12.6-12.8:1 at your peak torque, and lean out gradually to 13:1. Adjust from there as power/torque dicatates.

Thanks Chris... the A/F I've got were numbers off the dyno with wideband on it. I'm curious though as to why the car is running so rich from the factory?
