Default Ed Wright tuning > Do these changes look about right?

Just wondering if these PCM changes (Ed Wright) look about right for an A4 3.23/Yank 2,800, Stage 1 heads, LT header w Cats, and 218/218 .527/.527 114 LSA cam car:

1. Adjust fuel tables and timing for cam / heads / headers

2. Delete EGR code (will use LS6 intake manifold)

3. Delete random misfire PO300 code

4. Delete rear O2 sensor code (LT Headers)

5. Delete torque management (trans lockup at 40 mph)?

6. Set shift points to 6,300 (may be based on vehicle speed for 98 year model)?

7. Set rev limiter to 6,700

8. Set fan turn-on to 190 degrees (210 is stock)

9. Set speed limiter to 170 mph

10. Increase idle 100 rpm (800 in gear / 900 in park)?

Thanks for any input,
Ron Larson

Delete A.I.R. system so you can chunk the pump and pipes that get in your way on a spark plug change or valve cover swap. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Working on that email you sent me.

Eric....

Thanks Bud. BTW, I was told the exhaust manifold bolts were like 8 bucks or so. When you get me the P/N, can you find out if they maybe come in a package of 6 or so. Jeeze, they should not be more than about .50 cents a piece.

I forgot to ask you the P/N for the intake manifold gaskets. I may install a WS6 manifold which comes with the gaskets, but I sure would like the P/N if its not too much trouble.

Thanks again Eric,

Ron

Ron,

Do you know where you are going yet? I am headed to Wright-Patterson. If you are close, we can always add your VIN onto my LS1 Edit and tune it ourselves.

Let em know!

Todd,
I am no closer to knowing anything about leaving Korea than when you you over here.

Still have not heard from the female "you know who", so I am still on pins and needles as too what may happen.

Well. so much for Scott. I think the Dayton area will be a better deal anyway. Do they have a track someware around there?

Once you become an expert with that LS1 Edit, maybe you can save me a few bucks. I will still make it worth your while.....

Ron,

everything looks good...

I had the whole misfire detection deleted. I've heard that if you don't you could run into lock up problems.

Tq management should be raised higher to say 600 instead of totally deleting it.

FYI check out www.speartech.com $300 for everything on that list and John doesn't lock you pcm!

I second going with Speartech. John is a great guy to work with and he actually cares if you're happy or not.
