First day using LS1Edit My cables and emailed software finally arrived and I loaded all the stuff up on the laptop ready to do some tuning. After downloading the stock tuning, I did the basic stuff, EGR/AIR delete and random misfire, raised idle to 1000 and 950 AC on, raised rev limiter to 6600 and recalibrated the gear ratio and tire size. First program session went great. Engine idles real smooth now. Took a Atap reading to establish a base line. Just a tad rich at WOT (.925mv) and not too bad on the LTrims (-4.0 range) 29.5 advance and no KR. Thought I would need to mess with the injector rates because I have the SVO 30's. Tried the 138 factor, too lean. Cut it back, trying 120, 115, 105, 95. Finally, just left it at stock. Messed with the MAF rate, finally settling on 97.5. This got the LTrim's closer to zero, but staying just on the negative side. I was a bit surprised that the stock calibration worked well with the SVO 30's and the aggressively ported stock MAF. I'm thinking that the SVO's and the ported MAF balanced each other out. When I had the MAFT, it only needed -5% on the base to get my LTrim's dialed in, compared with +20% base using the stock injectors. After the initial programming session, the 6-7 ones that followed were a breeze. I'm gonna call it good for the time being, unless someone can give a compelling reason to mess with the other features.
