I was dynoing yesterday (didn't wideband because my car let out what I consider "excessive" oil smoke). Anyhow, on the second pull, I atapped it and it started in the .930 O2s then quickly jumped to .950, .960 all the way to .980 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

I was gonna pull some fuel out but my pressure plate took a dump and I lost the clutch <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />

so I need to bench dyno for now <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Any thoughts?

 

Just what the differences in 02`s from .900 to .920,.930 .940 and so on up to .980. Mine at WOT avarage at.920.But I like to spray on occasion. I think this would be an interesting topic.How lean is too lean and how rich is too rich?

 

I have found that when the coolant temp is up, which is the case on multiple pulls at the dyno, my o2's richen. Which makes sense in that you lose HP at higher engine temp. One of the biggest discoveries with the ATap/MAF-T mod is that I saw the need to keep the engine temp constant. Since I installed SLP's fan switch I have accomplished that and also more consistant o2's. If you don't then you are guessing most of the time based on time of day and type of driving where to set your MAF-T.
Get one...piece of cake to install. Go through the gromlet under the PCM and install the switch in the removable plate under the HVAC controls.
