Default Computer Tuning

LS1 Edit, Wideband, Dyno Tuning, etc.

I'm mulling over what tuning to get, I have an appointment at Cartek and I don't want to pester Dave.. he seems busy enuff.

-LS1 Edit

-Wideband

-Dyno Tuning

I know that LS1 Edit ($450) allows the raising of rev limiter, when fans come on, adjustments due to Cam selection, and the elimination of certain codes, elimination of O2 sensors, etc.

Is this done while on the dyno, or is it just interfacing with the PCM while engine is running?

What parameters should you be ready to provide so that Julio can adjust, eliminate, etc.

The Wideband ($175) confuses me because I'm not sure if it's a "read-only" deal, which tells you some parameters are out of whack & then what- progress to LS1 Edit or Dyno Tuning?

Or, upon discovery of any readings out of spec, are these parameters then identified & corrected?

Dyno Tuning ($550) seems to be the whole enchilada.. but what exactly does it include.. Wideband and LS1 edit??

Also.. what changes should be made when a cam is installed?

(Comp Cam 222/222 563/563 114)

Default Re: Computer Tuning

Yes, yes, and yes!

LS1Edit will allow the actual tuning while wide-band monitoring on a dyno will provide the info to tune it right!
