I started my car and the security light stayed.I checked the book and it said it could be a dirty key.It also said it would flash if it was a missing chip or gouged chip.Mine stays on constantly even if i wait then restart the car.I was wondering if any one knows how to turn it off.

I suggest taking your key to a GM dealer and have them check it in thier 'key box'. also, have your VIN handy so they can make sure you the right key number, or resistance value. chances are the resistance value somehow got knocked out of wack, and is what's causing the problem.
