Help!! DTC Code 102 w/MAFT and GMAF>>>
I recently installed a MAFT v5.2. I also have a GMAF on my 98 SS heads/cam car. I tuned with AutoTap to 10% base, 0% WOT and here are my numbers for my last run:
Avg LTFT B1: 0.42
Avg LTFT B2: 1.09
O2 B1S1: 0.897
O2 B2S1: 0.897
Now these numbers look fairly good to me and it seemed to be running better. So a couple of days ago, I'm sitting at a light, hit the gas, I get a big hesitation, then the SES light goes on. Then the car accelerates, then another hesitation, then it seems OK.
I check the codes with AutoTap and I'm getting DTC 102 - Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor Circuit Low Frequency.
So I reset the code and look at the MAFT instructions and it says that DIP switch 3 ON = Ouput signal limited (blocks DTC Code 102 on OBDII vehicles).
So then I set this switch on and think everything is hunky dory.
I'm driving tonight and after about 30 minutes, again taking off from a light, big hesitation, SES light on, accelerate and another hesitation.
Again, Autotap shows code 102. Reset it again. Later that night it happens again, same conditions.
So I unplug the MAFT and it seems to be OK.
WTF is going on? Any ideas? I was running the MAFT for about 3 or 4 days before this started happening but I was never idling for long periods at traffic lights like I was when this started happening.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
