Re: MAFT question Although I'm a newbie to the use of the MAFT and LS1 modding, I doubt that an MAFT give you the gains that custom tuning will do, especially with H/C (is this the right abbreviation for heads/cam???) work. I'm having a hard enough time trying to tune my car to 12.5 A/F @ WOT with stock engine internals and the only mods I have are exhaust and lid.
Re: MAFT question A quick answer would be no.
The MAFT is only used to correct/rich-lean out your car, bringing the Ltrims and O2's in to line.
With custom tuning you can do much more - timing, rev limiter, fuel maps, etc. Custom tuning can mean the LS1-edit, or an actual tuner re-tuning your car.
