Re: Need some help with autotap numbers
I also noted your MAF is low. Obviously the engine is running lean at WOT. Yes your O2's seem in the "range", but ,as Ragtop99 was also pointing out, they are different car to car and sensor to sensor. I would richen it up a couple of clicks and work back. BTW, I have a stock H/C valvetrain with all of the bolt-ons and run at about 32-34 lbs/min between 5300 -5500 rpm at WOT. The one thing that did make a huge difference is when I closed my SS hood ram system and now rely on the SLP CAI (which I have additional air ducted from the nostrils to the inlet of CAI). When I finally gave in to just having an great looking "non-functional" hood, I feel what I think would be a 10-15 increase in HP. I can feel it in the seat of my pants. Turns out that rubber strip I was "saving" turned out to be a $400 goal mine. My increases in MAF went from 29-31 to those numbers, which is a 10 -15% increase! If you correlate increased flows at optimum mixture (no KR) to increased enrichment...mo power.... If you do this you also need to change your mixture even a little more richer. I would start at 5% richer and work back.
The MAFT works great for these setups...do a mod and tweak it in 5 min. BTW, my exhaust consists of Hooker shorties, custom 2.5" y fitted w/ RT cats, and LM.
I think when I add Mac's and B1 cam my rate should go up dramatically...dunno. I will post back with the correlation for those that care <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> ...Later.
