Giving up unless I can get your help.......
Cylinder #1 and #5 are the culprits. This is the trouble shooting that I did to try to pin this down. P0300 code appears:
1) Put new spark plugs in during the install. When the misfiring occured I replaced the new plugs with my old ones, as per your advice
2) Replaced the old plug wires with new.
3) Took the coil packs to the dealer. He ran a diagnostic test on them, they are okay.
4) Had the engine wiring harness on the driver side checked out by a maintenance electrician, checks out okay.
What else can be causing the misfire condition? I checked for vacuum leaks, checked for any wires that may have been damaged during the install, can't find anything out of place. I crawled in, under, around looking at anything and everything, all to no avail.
Could the whole problem revolve around the O2 sensors? At this time I have open headers, O2 sensors in the collectors, and O2 sims to replace the rear sensors.
Please, help!!
With the misfire condition, is it likely to do internal engine damage by driving the car to see if the possible problem (too rich)is the culprit?

Again, your input is needed and appreciated.

What other possibilities could there be, and what else can I check?
Again, all that I did was install headers from the bottom of the car. I took out the old plugs and replaced with new. Nothing "mechanical" was done to the car during the install.
I am at a loss.....I need more input, please.
