How do you look at the tranny temp on Atap? Under trany I see Tran temp sensor, but it gives me a voltage reading. What does that mean? How do I get an actual temperature?

I could be wrong on this... but from what I remember, the trans temp uses the trans fluid as sort of a resistor. Thicker fluid means more resistance means lower voltage.
Ticket fluid means colder fluid. The trans temp sensor runs on a 5 volt scale, so the closer to 5 volts you are the higher the temperature.
I dont know what the formula is for converting it to a temperature.... when I check it on my atap (before i got a trans temp gauge) I always used just Trans Temp and it displayed it in degrees fehrenheit.

Just keep looking down the "show all items" list and you wil see transmission temperature. It will read in degree's F just like the engine temp. My tranny temp is usually about 165 degrees F while the engine temp is usually 180 degrees F.
