Has anyone ever switched from a M6 to an A4 (computer related)???

Default Has anyone ever switched from a M6 to an A4 (computer related)???

Im in the middle of this and have a big problem ... What did you do for the wiring harness that goes to the automatic ? Did you have to get the complete wiring harness for the whole car ? did you splice wires ? The Macanics of the swap are stright forward , It's just the wiring of it that has me at a loss ??? Please help !

We've done these in the shop with no problem, but there are several wires that must be plugged into the correct PCM locations. Also, one wire to a brake switch (for TCC operation), one wire to a P/N switch (could be left off and still work ok), and one wire to 12 volt ignition.

Thanks John , Is there a resource on which wires go where on the PCM pins ? So Basicly I can use my own harness and just run new wires to the tranny ?

One of these LS1 boards has a FAQ with the pinouts by year on it. I don't recall if it's this board or not.
Yes, just add the 4L60E stuff to your harness. It's like 14 wires I think.
