Aint running right! Experts inside! The car is doing the damndest thing....1st to 2nd gear the car winds right up. 2nd to 3rd gear the car feels like its bogging at about 5000rmp to 6500rpm, and the same with 3rd to 4th. It runs real hard till it hits 5 grand then it feels like it slows down the rate of acceleration, like the tach goes into slow motion up from 5 grand.
WTF is up with this thing!
Its been doing it for awhile and now its become more obvious. Got it on video tape and you can hear the engine wind up hard then, slow down before it hits the rev limiter. HELP! Its killing my ET's...took off a second!!!!!

Re: Aint running right! Experts inside! Found out the problem...between the added noise of the non stock cam, and now the new Hooker Headers, with no mufflers the knock sensor was having babies. Put on the new mufflers and the thing runs like scalded cat again.
NEW RULE: DON'T RUN WITHOUT MUFFLERS ON A MODIFIED ENGINE....IT DONT LIKE IT!!!!

I have no muffler on my SS, still have stock cats with y-pipe and hooker shorties.... my car cranks to 6300 so nicely.. god i love it! and that sound with no muffler, cant be matched!! The 3 other guys in my town with LS1 SS's have the same setup as me.. gotta love the weekend cruises huntin down those 5.0's.. we dont waste our time with the ricers.. its just not fun anymore. besides, i dont want some punk *** keying my car in the theater parking lot cause i smoked his *** on the street... it happens too much around here.. HP envy... heh

Re: Aint running right! Experts inside! I have Hooker headers with no cats, and true dual exhaust w/ dynomax bullets. Problem is solved thanks for the replies. Computer didnt like running open headers at the track.
