Default Ft Walton Beach, FL dyno question

Hey I just signed up here at ls1tech, see thread count, but if anyone can give me some advise it would be the all knowing ls1 gurus (that’s you guys) .

I'm over here in FL and was gona get my 04 GTO dyno tuned on Wednesday, but before I go lay down $400 I wanted to see if you knew anything about "RPM" in Ft Walton Beach. Does anyone have any experience with them, good or bad? Any stories I should hear? It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Will

I have no idea about them, and a professional tune is always a great idea, but for 400, you could buy hptuners?

Not sure how far you are from boca, but look up Diablosport. They can tune your car on the superflow dyno and are good people.

That's a good question...I'm only a couple blocks away from them on Racetrack Rd, and don't know **** about them. See what program they are using first of all, and report back. I have a feeling they don't really know what they are doing with an LS1 powered vehicle.

FWIW, I didn't trust anyone to tune my car, so I just got my own copy of HPTuners and learned how to do it myself.

I am in fort walton I know a guy that had his truck dynoed there. If I remember right they don't tune they just dyno. But i've had some stuff machined there and no problems. My hp tuners is for an 04 GTO also didn't know what else to get so if you need anything let me know. I'm still getting used to all the tuning but some minor stuff I can do for ya.

Oh and 400 seems kind of high. I have a buddy who has a ta and he had his tuning done for 120 and claims the guy tunes it until it's right. But i'll have to try and find out who it is, my buddy is in the desert. I'll try and find out for ya though.

i know they tune fords, but not sure about GM.

You won't find a reputable shop tune for $120, and if you do, you typically get what you pay.
