.ls1 file settings for a 212/218 cam anyone around here with that cam and settings for ls1 edit? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: .ls1 file settings for a 212/218 cam i ordered that same cam but have not installed it yet. did you feel a big difference from stock. also, does it lump at idle at all. just wondering. sorry no file just yet but i ordered ls1edit also and will create one after cam is installed.

Re: .ls1 file settings for a 212/218 cam I just took mine out. With the 1.8 rockers, it was a great torquer cam, wild offa the line. But, there was nothing left after 6100rpms, and that's not gonna work in the 1/4....
Not much lope really. Ya gotta have a low idle, decent durations (more than the 212/218), and a close LSA (like 111 or lower) for a really good lope.

Re: .ls1 file settings for a 212/218 cam I agree...i had the same cam in '99 SS and i couldn't believe how much lope it had for such a small cam. Later i switched to the 216/220 cam and it loped less...go figure. But yes it made very nice torque and decent top end power. But i did have S1 heads to so it could be different for you. I really didn't notice that much of a difference from the 212/218 to the 216/220 cam. They both had strong low end torque but the 216/220 made a little more top end power. Good luck.
