Detonation, air/fuel, and MAF Translator ???

Detonation, air/fuel, and MAF Translator ???
When I recently dyno'd, my air fuel ratio was real lean, causing detonation at higher RPMs.
As far as putting more air into the engine I've got a Whisper lid, K&N, ported and descreened MAF, EGR tube (shortened), and the Incoming Air Temp module advancing spark.
Now I realize that by removing the IAT modue I may get rid of this detonation <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> . My questions are
1) Will I actually get more power by getting more fuel in and fattening up (equalizing) my Air fuel ratio? (seems like a stupid question, more air + more fuel = power???)
2) Will a MAF translator allow me to actually increase the fuel ratio (and what else)?
3) Won't detonation harm the motor over time?
I know that I'll have more questions, but can't think right now.
Any and all help is appreciated. <img border="0" alt="[hail]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" />
Thanks!

Re: Detonation, air/fuel, and MAF Translator ???
1) Maybe. Try it and see. W/o knowing your current true A/F it is hard to know. Your A/F could be perfect but you have too much timing for the air temp.
2) Yes, you can change your WOT A/F and get your cruise LTRIMs set properly.
3) Yes
