Default HELP!!! Security light issues....

I need advice guys.. My car is really pissing me off..

About a week ago, I went out to start my car and nothing happened.. I noticed a light said "security" in my gauges. I let the car sit for a few hours and went to try it again.. Nothing!

Then I was trying a bunch of stuff.. And when I pushed the clutch down as hard as I could, it started up!

It ran fine and started up perfectly for the next week, now it's doing it again!!!! Why in the hell would it do it, stop doing it, then start up again!??!!?

By the way I had a new key made a couple days ago so I know that's not the problem.. And the battery is new.

I'd appreciate ANY help you guys can give me.. I need to know what this is so the dealership won't empty my wallet doing diagnostics.

Maybe you have a bad clutch safety switch.. We get intermittent problems at my dealership all the time... Its worth checking out.. I think i bought a clutch safety switch a year or so ago.. they arent very expensive.. What you could probably do, is remove it.. and check the resistance of the switch open and closed.. it may have too much...
