Default Lost fuel pressure..What to look for??

For some reason I am not showing my typical 62psi of fuel pressure that I normally show. I havent put the car on the dyno yet to see if its just a bad gauge or what. The needle seems to be riding around 40psi right now. I went outside today and checked the connections on my mechanical unit and relaced the fuel filter. Its still running around 40 psi. When I turn the car off and then put the key in the on position FP is around 25. Is this normal or should it be higher?? I have a Walbro 340 intank modified by ARE . Any things to look at here would be great. TIA guys

The hose from the pump to the sending unit may have a split in it. Mine actually came almost all the way off at the track once and I had 20psi...would barely start but could drive home.
Maybe the intank regulator is shot but never heard of that. If it is, you can have mine as its sitting in a tool box
