Default Any publications on the current Gen-IV / LS1-based PCM?

I'd like to find a book with some serious info on the LS1 PCM. I have a set of service manuals, but I need to know more info; there's some stuff I've been dying to read about. Can anyone recommend a book/article/publication that explains operating conditions of the PCM better?

Thanks for the help, but that's not exactly what I was looking for. I'll have to ask my service tech friends what they have available.

Imperator what exactly are you looking for? I was trying to find some information on the protocol for the PCM so I could talk to it thru some type of serial interface on a Palm...to try and "roll my own" diagnostic software... There is also an open source project doing the same thing. What are you trying to do?

Good idea.. I'd be seriously interested in the Palm scan tool if that does become reality. In my case, I'm looking for a basic "breakdown" of the instruction set. I'd like to know what conditions need to be present to activate things, what the stock fuel/spark tables look like, when closed-loop/open-loop modes switch, differences among fuel tables, etc.

That stuff is not "open source" and guarded closely by GM

I use :

From SAE

1. SAE HS-3000 OBD-II standard,
explains protocols and what each command/byte does

From Jendham

1. OBD-II diag for 94-01 model years
2. GM engine performance
3. GM diag codes with serial and PID for 93-01 MYs

Are you looking for OBD-II crap or real live PCM info? Internal data structures and algorithms are not generally available. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
