slp air temp module Every one says it doesn't do dick, but i think i disagree since i pulled it out i am running hotter, i feel the car is a little more slugglish, i think the timer only works in the summer and not the winter, i think in the winter it screws it up but in the summer i think it works, i used to run at 170 degrees, now i am at 220, what is this, does this mod not work, or is it just me that thinks it does, any one have dyn charts with it

Re: slp air temp module Like Dave said the SLP piece has nothing to do with how hot your car is running. It is probably running hotter because of the summer weather. Put a 160 t-stat in and a manual fan switch and it will go back down.

Re: slp air temp module Engine temp is a function of how much heat is displaced by the radiator. Bigger radiator, better fuild, more air flow. The temp mod. only tells the PCM what the air charge. It will increase timing to make up for the low airtemp that the mod tells the PCM. As the air temp gets close to the air mod temp then you will see no power gain. Sdo it only really works in the summer and is not worth the money.
