I'm getting my AutoTap today- (Big Brown Truck)
What should I initially check?
Any settings or values that are critical?
What gets checked idling, and what gets checked cruising, and what gets checked at WOT?

Good luck with the Autotap program. It may be quirky if you use the Windows version... crabby sometimes on getting a good connection. You will need to have something like excel to download the data you retrieve to make things easier for yourself. There is an older email from a guy with a Corvette that explains using Autotap... but to make any changes you will need either LS-1 Edit or a Mass Flow Translator...
With the Autotap you would set it up to look at the Ltrims on both banks, the Oxygen Sensors on both banks, the fuel cells... as fuel cell #22 is WOT and Fuel cells 1 thru 19 give you part throttle cruise readings... and Throttle Body Angle so you know when you are going WOT. Remember, the more parameters you meter the loger it takes to cycle through and start over ... for example... with only the TB Angle chosen.. and you went out and checked a zero to 60 MPH blast at WOT.... you might have twenty or twenty five readings... add say ten additional parameters like Ltrims for Bank A and Bank B, Temperature, Ignition Advance, Knock Retard, Speed in MPH, RPM..... and do the same 0 to 60 MPH blast and you may only see four or five readings that are 97% or higher, indicating WOT...... Read the manual and play with it...
Only... to make changes you will need to have LS-1 edit or a Mass Flow Translator.......
Hope this helps......
Have fun.....
