If it is not to late...
I hope that you beta testers tell B&B to make ATAP so that you can create config files w/o being hooked up to the car.
Looking forward to the upgrade. ATAP V1.X has definitely been a love/hate relationship. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I don't have upgrade costs, but I'm sure their will be introductory specials.
Yes, all those screens I created were offline. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Hook up to the car, scan for support parameters and then go to your desktop and play with it.

John@Pace,
So will this new version AutoTap work on a Holden Commodore over here? I and some friends are interested for some street/strip cars here.
Please let us know.
Cheers. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

When will this be available to ship? and the final price confirmed?
Thanks.

So whats the deal on the speed? I probably have the old hardware, I dont know...Its an AT123 dated November of 2001. I upgraded to that from my AT1 at that time.
Is there a speed increase with the old hardware or just the new?
What about us LT1 guys? Do we just get screwed over in the OBD2 department as far as logging speed goes? Wonder if OBD2 Datamaster ever got released...

OBD1 guys have datamaster and various other loggers that are FAST.
What about OBD2 LT1's? ATAP is slow...and a 33% increase is still SLOW...And thats if you can see spending 75 bucks for something that should have been in the original release of the hardware.
What is there for an OBD2 LT1 that allows data capture at the rate of Datamaster or the like???

eflive and EASE do "fast reads", no one has answered if autotap 2.0 does them and reading the description it does not. Since eflive can get full speed with the old autotap hardware, and the new autotap only gets a 30% faster with new hardware (fast reads would be far more than 30%), it looks like the hardware is just easier to program and provides bi-directional capabilities. Guess thats why they will be selling eflive it at least gives the capability to have some speed and not loose a whole bunch of business to EASE.
