Default Which timing table for idle?

I have a M6 and a A4 to tune out some crappy idle issues. I see a few different timing tables in EDIT to change stuff on (base spark in drive, base spark in park, low octane, high octane, etc.). I am guessing that in the auto I'd use the base spark tables but what about the M6 car?
