Hello all, I saw it in a Holley catalog and thought it looked kind of useful, Anyway, I was wondering if any of you guys out there use or know anything about this thing.

Stand alone system, fuel only, unless you get the Holley Annililator Ignition too, 3D mapping software in graph form for fuel tables, throttle body in 1000 cfm or 2000 cfm, two different modes of operation, must have laptop, and because throttle body = fabricated sheetmetal manifold on the LS1. I've got one! Its for another project for next year...
Cheers

so if you get this you need to get a custom manifold? Geeze I hope not. You said it just controls fuel so does the car still retain the stock computer also? Would this thing even be practical for a street driven car?

Thanks
Gary

It controls the fuel only. Don't know if it will work with the stock PCM to control ignition. Accel sells their 'Annililator' for that.
Yes, must have a custom manifold...
Yes, it will work on a street car, and is designed for them OR all-out drag racing.

Thanks for the info WR4F. Needing a custom manifold makes this thing out of my budget for now.

My dad just got on for his boat. He has it on a Chevy 302ci motor. Pretty cool little thing. On the fly Fuel/Air map adjustments.

But I can't see how it could even be remotely useful on an LS1. The LS1 has Tuned Port Injection, which is better than the Throttle body injection on the 950 Commander. Futhermore, I don't think it would fit under the hood with any size circular air filter like it requires.

If you want to be able to have control over your car in the exact same way as the command get LS1-Edit and Autotap.

BTW the Commander 950 has 3D mapping too. It's sexy.

Yeah,

The Commander throttle body is available in 1000 or 2000 cfm flow rates!! That will feed 1000 HP...

Without a hood scoop, that is an issue, depending on height of fabricated manifold....

If you want to be able to have control over your car in the exact same way as the command get LS1-Edit and Autotap.

Yes, much much cheaper, agreed....

Magnus357:
It is sexy, and But the best of tuning capabilities is the thing, plus flow...
It just depends what your gaol is!
