Default LS1-Edit and Knock Sensitivity

I asked this question awhile back and never did get a definate answer, so I will try again. Has anyone used (or knows how to use) LS1-Edit to make the knock sensors appear to be less sensitive? I think it may have something to do with the knock attack and decay tables, but I am not sure. Any ideas?

Good question. But I think the trial-and-error method of figuring things out would be a little risky in this case. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Didja try contacting the fellers at carputing.com?

My version is "in the mail" and I'm wondering the same thing myself. I've had Ed detune my KR sensors in the past, but wanna know as much as I can about LS1_Edit before I ruin something...

Ah yes, the million dollar question.

You know what though, as time goes on we're gonna have all the info we need about LS1 Edit. Being patient is the hard part, for me anyway. I'm glad you asked.

wow surprised that no one answered this. I would swear that this was answered several months ago, but did a search just on knock and could not find it. I never really looked into it since its a bad idea, but everyone has their own opinion on it. It may have been on www.ls1.com but dont think so. Get ahold of Ken he should know, since ls1-edit does have knock sentivity settings.

I haven't needed to mess with it it, I'd try reducing the values in the Attack versus RPM table. I would reduce them just enough to get rid of knock, assuming I was 100% convinced it was false knock and only a small amount. Once you desensitize, the car may not respond to real knock as quickly, or at all.
