It doesnt work like that as far as I can tell. You can set your idle RPM but it gives you no control over the IAC.

Jason, Ragtop, any of you guys have the same problem?

Did you do the instal alone? How long did it take you? I am steering towards doing my cam install myself.

Yes, keep drilling the hole bigger. Each car is different. Mine required about 4 sizes up with the TR224-112.

Just monitor your warm IAC counts until you get the b/t 30-40.

Chris, I also editted the base spark in drive and park tables to add 2 more degrees of advance below 1200 rpm. I think this helped a little. I also noticed that when I rescaled the maf from stock, it screwed up my idle some and I had to play with the idle speed some more.

Default HELP!! Idle trouble after TR224 install

Installed my TR224-114 friday and I am having idle problems on cold start and warm starts. Once it's up to temp everything is ok. Checked IAC counts (position on my ATAP) they were at 90. Drilled TB step by step. Right now its at 7/32 and the counts are staying at 80. I did the idle relearn procedure and at warm idle my counts are still in the 80's and the 130's with the A/C on.
Idle is set at 850 throughout the range with Edit.

Any other ideas on how to get them down?

What is the max amount to drill the TB?

Thanks for the tips guys. Dan, I messed with edit yesterday and actually did bump base timing in park up a little and it seems to have cured the hot start surge. i will fire it up tonight and check the cold start. Still cant get the IAC Counts off of 80 though.

Open your TB blade a bit by turning the TB idle set screw 1 turn. That should bring your IAC count down. If it turns about to be too much, just back off to a 1/2 turn.
