PCM Config in the process of fine tuning my PCM program I inadvertantly flashed my PCM with one of my club members config. We both have 2001 C5 with A4. The flash was successful but after that the car was basically a $50k paperweight. I was just speaking with Ed wright this morning then decided to take some time off from the "honey-do list" to tweak the programming when I suddenly became a strong candidate for a Darwin Award. I can't believe I made that mistake. I have about 30 people's PCM config from one of the local groups I run with and have never had an issue until this afternoon. I sent Shaun (ValveGod) an email requesting a price on a replacement PCm just in case. I also sent Ed an email since I haven't been able to contact him since it happened. Still waiting on both to respond. Neither AutoTap nor LS1 Editis able to even communicate with the PCM. The corvette DIC thros all sorts of errors and when forced into diagnostic mode it gives codes for the various modules but repsonds with a 'PCM- No comm' error. Tried disconnecting battery for about 90 minutes to let the capacitors run down and erase NVRAM but that definately did not help and I was pretty sure it wouldn't anyways since NVRAM primarily holds the running config . does anyone know of a way to erase the PCM either in the car or out of the car to the point where I can flash it back to GM stock and start over. Any advise would be appreciated.
