I was excited about it too when I first told about the GP. But after seeing how the topic went on the other forum...we became very skeptical.
Too bad, If Carputing offered a GP on ls1edit...I'd have been all over it probably
I just hope the people who do still go in on that don't get hosed.
Take it easy!
Larry

Thanks,Take care

I spent a year of crap trying to get the engine workinh right with the clunker powerloader tune and a MAFT but one evening with LS1edit and I solved all ills the PCM calibration had to performance.

AFAIK, they are the only ones offering this type of flexibility when it comes to LS1 tuning. Make the money while you can, worry about discounts when you get a competitor.
Not the best scenario for us(LS1 owners) but, what'cha gonna do.

Carputing does not give discounts to anyone. When they first came out, we even asked them to be sponsors here and asked for a discount on their software for myself, PSJ, and Colonel as a trade. They were not interested.

When I saw it, the first thing I thought was "Dammit! I just sent in the whole amount 2 weeks ago!" It sure did seem that the organizer didn't know what was going on, but I figured what could it hurt if I asked Ken if I could cancel and get in on this GP (worst would be he said no)... That's when Ken told me it was a scam, he also went on to say they've been swamped with orders and would welcome a break before drumming up more sales with special pricing...

Team ZR-1, You made some good points about the high cost of LS1 Edit. For me, it was a no-brainer: it would have cost almost as much just to have a couple codes deleted, plus I have this software that I can use for years to tune my car.

Sure it is expensive, but you have to keep in mind the amount of time and work it took to reverse engineer the PCM in our cars.

Just right now is a bad time
If I did the wife would shoot me If I had it I know my car could run much better I do intend on getting one in the future though. Team ZR-1 has all the Positve Points,$550.00 is a Drop in the bucket for what you can do with it

Besides the more you tune the more you learn about OBD-2 so when OBD-3 comes out soon you will not be so far behind the curve ball
