Just wondering a small thing about scanmaster. When I hit recal after a WOT run it shows the knock retard and the other #... Do you want that # around 870?
During the day in the heat mine was reading 920's then tonight it was reading 870's. Is that good? I have my maft set 2% lean at wot..
Then I just went 155+mph for the first time in my new SS. And when I hit recall it read 780 and 3.8 knock retard. Why is this...because so much air or fuel cutting out.

Andy...a good rule of thumb is to have your O2's in the range of .880 and .910. If you have your MAFT set to 2% lean @ WOT then the MAFT is doing it's job for you based on your readings. However, you're seeing knock retard because you're a little on the "lean" side. Bottom line, you want to tune your car more to the lean side WITHOUT introducing any knock retard.
