LS1 Edit Will Not Read Stock PCM!

The program starts to download and then the screen bar gets to about 15 percent and the program locks. The meter disapears and the screen turns white. I am using window ME and there are no other programs running. WTF!

How are you connected from the computer to the car? Do you use usb or serial? I've heard some people have problems with usb connectors.
