Default discrepancy btwn injector correction factor and excel data

which way should i use to calculate the flow rate table?

using the correction factor method here:
godspeed injector scaling page

i get these first 3 data points for42# injectors

(for 98 injectors flow rate using 98 1.696 correction factor) -> 6.13952 6.17344 6.20736

(for 99 injectors flow rate using 99 1.837 correction factor) -> 6.11720 6.15533 6.19322

why are the above not identical? or the same as the following?

using the injector scaling excel spreadsheet here:
Godspeed's Injector scaling excel spreadsheet

(running the numbers for 42# injectors at 43.5 psi they are) -> 6.110675 6.148758 6.186607

which one do i use? please help and let me know if i need to clarify anything, again these are the first 3 values for the injector flow rate vs. map values of 0,,5,10 kpa respectively

use the 98 scale....remember that 98 had bigger injectors than 99 so the pcm is different. You will probably end up changing it anyway after watching ltrims. I used a stock maf so my ltrims were adjusted with the injector constant

i thought the same thing, but if you look at the math, the numbers fall out, they are used just to gain a ratio of flow vs. #/hr.

or still why not use the calculation from the spreadsheet at the bottom vs the 98 setting?

cable, did you touch the offset table to do the 42# injectors? i have no info on this.

im gonna try the 98 table, but the excel calculated value seems to have some more meat behind the numbers.

yes that is the spreadsheet link i have shown above. notice the outputs are different than that which was pulled from the table for the 98 cars.

now i still dont know which to use. does it matter?

i didnt use any. I am using a vacuum/boost referenced regulator with no intank regulator. I set my injector constant to 5.51 all the way across the board. FP is set at 60 with the hose off. my ltrims range from 0 to -3.9 This is with the svo 42# injectors. I am really happy with them.

Mightymouse: The spreadsheet link above is the one I and use. AFAIK it is correct. The injector flow values should not depend on model year; they are absolute values. I would (do) use the spreadsheet.

Oh, and it's not Godspeed's, it's mine <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

ok, well i guess he used it and posted it in a reply of his on the same subject once, without giving due props.

props to you, you are a smart dude. i will use the spreadsheet values, now i have everything i need assuming the injector offset is the same for all years of ls1's., or at least that the offsets on the ford 42 were gained from starting with a 98 injector.
