Default How lean is safe?

When I auto-tap'd my truck l-trims were in the the low 20's. This is with Ed Wright custom tuning. Running so lean made me nervous. I then bought a maf-t and brought them back to around +2/-2. However, when I did that my truck ran terribly (sluggish). Is running that lean O.K.? I've put alot of money into this, and I don't want to damage valves etc. by running too lean. I will continue to monitor things and see what works best. I'm still very new at this, so bear with me. Any ideas?

If you paid ed wright for tuning, it seems he should be able to give you an answer.

What fuel trim cells are you using to average out the l-trims?

Naturally Aspirated, your A/F should be 12.8-13.2

I actually don't know which fuel trim cells were used to average my l-trims. Which ones should I use? As I've looked through the site I've seen some different responses as to which fuel trim cells do what. Also, my truck does not have an LS1 engine, so are fuel trim cells the same for all OBD2 vehicles. I have a 97 silverado with ported heads, LT4 hot cam, bolt ons, and Ed Wright tuning. I'm honestly very dissapointed with the results. I also have an LS1 maf translator (which works on my truck because we share the same style maf....so any help, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm at a loss.(of power)
