surging and stalling problem
the idle is set to 950rpms
at 170 degrees coolant temp the IAC count in Park is 60-65 and runs really rich in fuel cell 20.
at 190 degrees coolant temp the IAC count is 30-35 and Ltrims are at 0 in cell 20.
yet, the car surges when coming to a stop after a brief cruising period. actually only when I'm at my destination, never at stoplights(weird). And the car likes to die in reverse or making a turn at low rpms. These conditions come and go. I went 5 days without any problems and then last night I died 4 times backing into my driveway and this morning surged all the way into my work's parking lot. Is this what life with a cam is?
any suggestions or remedies?
thanks,

Under loaded conditions, in idle, your IAC count should be 120.
Make sure your car is warm.
Put your car in drive and flip the A/C on
Check your IAC count. It should be no more than 120. If it is greater than 120, then you need to drill the throttle body hole a little larger.
If your IAC count is good under loaded conditions, then you may want to play with your timing at idle. Too much timing at idle will cause your car to hunt under load.
I am currently tuning a 226 114lsa on an M6. Idle is at 900, but I will probably end up raising it slightly (to 950 probably). Under loaded conditions my IAC count is too high and the car has a tendency to surge and die whenever I turn the wheel far left/right while idleing. I will be drilling out the TB this week to fix the problem.
Good Luck
timing at idle is 17-18 degrees in park and 26-28 degrees in drive.
should I lower the timing in gear at idle or leave it alone?
thanks,
Steve
