Lack of O2 Sims cause lost performance?

Lack of O2 Sims cause lost performance? I put Mac Headers with no cats on my 2000 Camaro and I'm wondering if not having O2 sims causes a tuning problem. My SES light was already on from something else dumb so that wasnt a concern. Just thought Id ask because RKsport is trying to say that 02 sims give you 10HP and 15ft.lbs. The only way that could be is if not having them messes up your tuning?????

Re: Lack of O2 Sims cause lost performance? O2 sims do nothing but keep the SES light away. Rear O2s have no effect on how the car runs, they only monitor the filtering efficiency of the cats.
Many people don’t have sims and just live with the light. I’ve never heard of anyone gaining any power by putting them on.

Re: Lack of O2 Sims cause lost performance? As RPMWS6 said,not having the rear O2 simms will not have ANY effect on how the car runs.This has been proven many times by many people including myself both on the dyno & at the track.

Re: Lack of O2 Sims cause lost performance? Well thats gay. I just spent $350 on autotap and EFILive. Not to mention I just had to get a $200 blow off valve because the stock ATI valve sucks. Unfortunately LS1edit has to wait a while.
