Well, to make the story shorter,
I recently changed my PCM from 2001 to 2000, the car runs great, after i changed the PCM i installed trans go shift kit, after all this i oput around 100 miles on the car, i was coming back home from work and almost by my house the "Survice Engine soon" light came up and i was like at high RPMs but car didn't want to move faster, may be i was at like 3rd gear and that's why it was accelarating slowly... i got home turned it off, let it sit for a like 20 mins, fired it up, the ses light is still there, but the car runs alright and shifts OK too, so i went to local autozone shop and had them scan my car and found the subj
Any ideas what do i have to check/do to fix the damn problem?
It seems like it happaned after trans go shift kit, please share your opinions/help

My car does that every now and then, i will have a lot of misfire codes stored.I delete them all with a-tap and it is fine.I think it is caused by the pcm and not a tranny prob,otherwise clearing the pcm wouldnt repair the problem. <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" />

 

what you mean by "clearing the pcm wouldnt repair the problem", so it is a mechanical problem?
what causes the PCM to think that solenoid is bad?

If it was a problem with the tranny, clearing codes from the pcm wouldnt repair it.If the prob. goes away by reseting the pcm, it would seem to be a pcm caused malfunction.
Trust me i freaked out the first time it happened, i thought i needed a new trans.

well, we cleared the code, and it's gone, 40 miles and no codes so far, trully hope the bastard is gone <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

something is causeing the problem so i'll find the something and fix it.

misfires detection has been deleted already, remember i have custom tuning by speartech ;-)

 

Your trans is slipping with the new TC Anton.(at least thats what the PCM thinks)

It doesn't happen all the time but I used to get it alot.

It will usually tag you when going up hills or sometimes just on the freeway. The only thing you can do at that point is to pull over and turn off the car for a couple min and when you start it back it should drive normal. The light may stay on though. There is a bunch of threads concering this problem but I can't remember what they are called. In other words, it's not a big deal and won't hurt anything. Maybe the misfire detection can be turned down or off to aliviate the problem.

 

Did they delete just the part that sets the code or did they trick the PCM into not actually checking fo misfire? Thats what I had to do.

You'll get it figured out. But a word of advice.... Nothing ever works the way you expect it to, it either works far worse than anticipated or it works better. Usually it is the former. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />
