Default Ltrim question.

Why would my LTrims be showing higher positive values in warmer weather by as much as 6%? I would have thought that it would be the opposite??

Just a guess. Car sees higher air temp. So thinks there is less air density, so lowers the fuel being injected, which causes a lean condition.

But it is not lowering the fuel. It is adding fuel. The car runs pig rich in warmer weather.

If the value is positive then it means that the computer is adding fuel...so the car is lean

If the value is negative then it means that the computer is taking fuel away...so the car is rich

The computer is sensing a lean condition and adding fuel but the car is running rich. You can even smell gas. What could that be? I thought maybe it could be an exhaust leak but wouldn't the leak have to be before the O2 sensors? I can't seem to find one

If your ltrims are at +6%, you need to add +7% or so to drop them back into the slightly negative.
