I have a Thinkpad 380XD Pentium II 233 with 96MB of RAM. It works just fine.
You will also need WinZip up unzip the files and MS Word to read the Programmer instructions. The laptop will need an RS232 serial port for the cables.

Re: ls1edit? P133 MHz or higher, 32MB of memory, Win98 or higher, serial port (9-pin D-shaped male). That's the *minimum*. If you don't have a serial port, you'd probably need a USB to RS232 adapter, but if you don't yet have a laptop, be sure to specifically look for a computer that has the RS232 plug on the back.
I'm probably going to get a lower-end PIII Panasonic Toughbook one of these days for in-car stuff.
