i think some one left the car programmed with a HPP3... there is a Hypertech sticker on the ECM housing, my fans turn on @ 175* which i know is not stock settings for that.


my question is this... if say i bought a Diablo programer or another hand held device, will it work since there is already a Hypertech program in it?

The Diablo will upload whats currently in your pcm and work from there. I'd either find a GM mechanic willing to reflash your pcm with a Tech II for a few bucks or somebody with HP Tuners to flash in a stock file.

I could be wrong but I don't believe that Diablo supports the 98 pcm. The dealer should be able to reflash your pcm but at what price I don't know. Finding somebody local with efi live or Hptuners could get a stock 98.bin and reflash you also.

No, dont think the predator has 98 capability, but whoever took the HPP3 out of the car probably returned it to the stock program.
